One of our own, Mr. Hal Roesch (center with his wife Beth) is now the VFW National Junior Vice Commander. The VFW Riders of Virginia surprised him with a sign that will hang above the door of his home post, VFW Post 3219 – Phoebus Craigs-Mc Cue Posts in Hampton Virginia.

VFW 2017 National Convention in New Orleans, LA, July 22-26

Over 15 riders from Virginia made it to the convention. In all, 10 of us rode our bikes down, two even completing the Iron Butt, 1000 miles in 24 hours.  We rode with our fellow VFW riders in the 2017 Howard E Vander Clute Jr Memorial Motorcycle Ride/Poker Run on July 22nd. The ride started off with wonderful weather but the day ended with a rain storm/flooding that those of us who rode in it will never forget. VFW Riders Virginia are proud to say we donated over half of the proceeds this year in the Vader Clute Memorial Ride. We donated a check for $15,000. The checks were presented to the National Commander on the stage during the convention.
